Some have noticed a surge in the rat population in Sacramento.

A group called the Sacramento Canines’ Rat Annihilation Team is doing something about it.

They are “urban ratters” who go around the city with their dogs hunting for rodents.

“We’re just a group of friends at this point who meet up once or twice a month in the downtown and midtown Sacramento areas and we go to rat hot spots and catch rats with our dogs,” Emily Iniguez said.
